Set in the middle of an idyllic meadow at the base of the world renown Shawangunks in New Paltz, New York. The Trapeze Club is the place to learn to fly like the red tailed hawks that soar above.

Flying trapeze is a fun and exciting aerial art form that can be enjoyed by anyone at almost any age. Our classes are designed to meet the needs of individual participants. For everyone, from first time flyers to well-practiced enthusiasts, our sessions are joyful, integrative, team-building experiences customized to meet your specific needs and help you realize your full potential.

The Trapeze Club offers a safe, supportive, environment in which each individual is fully supported in the journey toward reaching his or her greatest potential. The experienced staff draws on years of flying experience in order to offer useful and insightful advice.

At The Trapeze Club safety is always first. Our teachers, spotters, and catchers are always strong, capable, and well-qualified. The condition of the rig, the adjustment of the net, and integrity of the belts are carefully checked before each class. An experienced flyer can feel free to stretch the limits of her abilities and find the growth she seeks. The beginner can feel secure in knowing his safety is our first priority.

Following a warm-up, beginners are instructed in basic techniques and beginning tricks. This on-the-ground instruction allows students to become familiar with the safety equipment, what to expect on the platform, and how to take off from the board. The ultimate goal is to master a trick well enough to be "caught" by a catcher who is swinging on another trapeze.
