Kirtan is the heartfelt expression of devotion or Bhakti Yoga. Chanting has the power to open the heart and in its pure state induces profound states of joy, meditation and bliss.
Beautiful chants from a variety of traditions are accompanied by rhythmic percussion and instruments. Join us in joyous celebration!
Feel free to bring along your own chants, instrument and/or readings to share.
Beginners Yoga Course

This beginners course provides a systematic introduction to the theory and practice of yoga postures, breathing exercises and guided relaxation.

Mindfulness Meditation - 4 week Series

Join Donna Sherman as she introduces you to a variety of Mindfulness Meditation practices. This class is experiential so all the tools taught are directly experienced by those attending. This style of Mindfulness Meditation is akin to the Vipassana style of meditation which uses very effective and pragmatic methods for observing our habits of thought, behavior, emotion and stress. Through this practice of compassionate self-observation, we begin to release ourselves from our habitual modes of living and become skilled at negotiating life's challenges with more adaptability, clarity, focus and awareness.
Donna Sherman, MSW, LCSW is a behavioral health educator, yoga teacher and teacher of our meditation & stress reduction groups. Donna brings a compassionate awareness to the experience of mindfulness meditation and adds an intuitive curiosity to the shared experience of this practice.

Learn how to explore your body and energy through conscious movement. These unique exercises will develop foundations for observing energy flow in the body and cultivate a deeper sense of mindfulness.
I Liq Chuan (roughly translated as "mind-body fist") is an art of cultivating consciousness based on Tai Chi and Chan (Zen) principles of non-assertions, non-resistance, harmony of yin and yang, oneness, and the present moment. As a system of kung fu, I-Liq Chuan emphasizes the development of internal power and health through mental attitude and awareness.

Planet Mandala Painting Workshop

Mandalas are sacred circular energy patterns that reflect our inner nature and harness vital planetary energies which improve our spiritual, mental and physical well being. Using an ancient number grid an infinite amount of shapes and patterns are created to form a beautiful mandala based on your personal numerology. You will learn the role of colors and planets and how to use the Vedic Square in the creation of your own sacred mandala. This meditative painting practice along with recitation of specific mantras will give you a better understanding of the qualities of the planets and the influence of the numbers and planets on your life.
Mavis Gewant, M.A., is a sacred artist, mother, educator and doula. She learned the ancient techniques of yantra and silk deity painting from Tantric Master Dada Shri Harish Johari.
